Event-based Generation Maintenance Scheduling Model and Its Application in Mid/long-term Operation of Power Systems
Generation maintenance scheduling is an important part of the mid/long-term operation of power systems. It is very critical for maintaining the safe operation of generators and mid/long-term electric power and energy balance of power systems with high proportion of renewable power. Due to the complexity of maintenance constraints such as the duration and time interval, numerous integer variables and constraints are needed for the generation maintenance scheduling model, resulting in difficulties in model solution. Aiming at the above problems, this paper proposes an event-based generation maintenance scheduling model, which can completely describe the generation maintenance scheduling constraints with fewer variables. Based on the generation maintenance scheduling model, a mid/long-term operation model of power systems is established considering the constraints of the generator and system operation. Case studies are carried out on the modified IEEE-RTS79. The results have verified the effectiveness of the proposed generation maintenance scheduling model in the mid/long-term operation of power systems, which not only enhances the solution efficiency, but also improves the optimization results.
