Rotor Eddy Current Loss Analytical Model for High-speed Permanent Magnet Motor With Sleeve Based on Loaded Magnetic Field Analysis Considering Eddy Current Reaction Effect

Based on the precise subdomain method, a rotor eddy current loss analytical model of a high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor with sleeve under the combined action of armature magnetic field, permanent magnetic field and stator slotting was established. The model also considered the influence of the rotor eddy current reaction caused by the high frequency harmonic magnetic field. This model considered both the stator current and permanent magnet remanence in the slot subdomain and the permanent magnet subdomain. Therefore, the analytical model can be used to calculate the rotor eddy current loss in the presence of armature magnetic field, ideal no-load magnetic field, and load magnetic field. In order to improve the calculation accuracy of the analytical model, the diffusion equation was also solved in the rotor conductor region, considering the influence of the eddy current reaction. According to this analysis model, the influence of slot opening width, sleeve material and sleeve thickness on rotor eddy current loss was studied. Finally, a loss separation experiment was carried out on a 7.5 kW, 15000 r/min high-speed permanent magnet motor, and the rotor eddy current loss obtained by analysis, finite element and experiment was compared, and the validity of the analysis model was verified.
