Optimization of a Photovoltaic Pumping System Using Fuzzy Logic and Passivity-Based Control

This paper presents an optimization approach for a photovoltaic (PV) pumping system composed of a PV generator, a pulse-width modulation (PWM) inverter, and a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) coupled to a centrifugal pump. The control strategy is based on frequency and speed regulation using passivity-based control, which enables the system to respond dynamically to variations in solar irradiance and temperature without the use of a DC/DC converter.
